Our work to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people is only possible because of the support we get from others.
Mission East's funding come from private donors in the form of individuals, associations, churches, foundations and companies. By 2020, 66 percent of our income was funded by public donors. The Danish state is the main source of public funding through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Danida), CISU and CKU. The German state is also a very important donor.
Private sources provided about 34 percent of Mission East's revenue. The funds from private supporters and foundations are extremely important, i.a. because large public donations often require a certain amount of co-financing from other sources.
By 2020, about 67 percent of our budget was spent on emergency aid, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan, while 23.5 percent went to long-term development programs in countries such as Tajikistan and Nepal.
We always try to be as cost effective as possible. In 2020, only 9.8 percent of the total annual budget was spent on administration.
Thanks to all who supports our work!
